How to Choose Custom Tyvek Wristbands

Tyvek wristbands help staff recognize guests, ticket types, and admission groups at concerts, festivals, sporting events, and fundraisers. Their lightweight, paper-like material is practical for one- or two-day events. Tyvek is a synthetic material, not ordinary paper.

Match the wristband to your event

Choose different colors or printed designs to distinguish general admission, VIP guests, staff, or separate event days. For longer events, compare our fabric wristbands and choose a closure suited to your access policy. A wristband supports your admission process; staff checks and consistent distribution remain important.

Blank, Black-Printed, or Full-Color Wristbands

• Blank wristbands: a simple way to separate groups by color.
• Black printing: add an event name, date, sponsor logo, or message to the available band colors.
• Full-color printing: reproduce colorful branding and artwork using the options shown on the product page.

The black-print model offers 14 band colors and starts at 50 wristbands. Other models may have different colors, minimum quantities, and production times. Check the selected product rather than assuming every option is identical.

Artwork and sizing

Use the online design tool or upload your artwork. Keep text and logos within the printable area shown in the template, and use a high-resolution image at its final print size. The standard black-print model is 3/4 inch wide; refer to each product for its dimensions and print area. Leave enough room for comfortable wear when fastening the band.

Single-Use Closures and Material Choices

The adhesive closure secures the wristband and helps show signs of removal or attempted transfer. Custom printing makes admission groups easier to recognize, but no wristband alone guarantees protection against copying or unauthorized entry.

Tyvek is water-resistant and tear-resistant. It is intended for short-term use, and performance depends on wear and conditions. Do not describe it as indestructible or reusable after the adhesive closure has been opened.

Is biodegradable paper the same as Tyvek?

No. Paper wristbands sold as biodegradable are a separate material option. They should not be assumed to have the same water resistance, tear resistance, or disposal requirements as Tyvek. Check the specific paper product before choosing it for wet conditions or an event with particular environmental requirements.

Ordering and Production Times

3. Enter a quantity that meets the product's minimum and review its volume pricing.
4. Check the production time and available shipping options before ordering.

Production time is not delivery time. Allow additional time for shipping and, where applicable, artwork approval. If your event has a fixed date, contact Wristways before ordering to confirm which option fits your schedule. The product page shows the current production estimate; there is no general promise that every Tyvek order ships within 24 hours.
